Welcome Mr. Chief Minister
The power of One
You remember those inspirational quotes we used to read to inspire ourselves. Honestly, I do not even remember any of those anymore. Though they always had Gandhi, Einstein, Teresa and an American President either the inspiration or the source itself. They always go like this,
“One man with a gun can control 100 without one.” -Vladimir Lenin or
“One man with a courage is majority.” – Andrew Jackson, so on and so forth. I am not even sure of their profoundness
We, the apathetic Indians, could never be Jackson, Jefferson or Bhagat Singh for that matter. Because politics is dirty and Mayawati looks like shit, and Mulayam Singh’s son is as useless as they come and the usual baloney about jobs, careers, and mouths to feed and tits to milk. So basically we couldn’t care less and just when you thought we couldn’t, we remarkably cared even lesser. Now that may not explain a lot, but would surely explain all the trash we see in each and every corner of this country and I am not even talking about the dead corpses floating in the river Ganges.
So, people, here is a man who does give a shit, shares your anguish. You may not have voted for him, but you should be gratified that there is a man who has shown that it can be done. That one man can sure make a difference and @#$% with the system, beard the lion in its den.
The Man, the idea and the Vine
To quote from the book, the Power of One”
“Always in life an idea starts small, it is only a sapling idea, but the vines will come and they will try to choke your idea so it cannot grow and it will die and you will never know you had a big idea, an idea so big it could have grown thirty meters through the dark canopy of leaves and touched the face of the sky. The vines are people who are afraid of originality, of new thinking. Most people you encounter will be vines; when you are a young plant they are very dangerous. It is better to be wrong than simply to follow convention. If you are wrong, no matter, you have learned something and you grow stronger. If you are right, you have taken another step.”
‘A Good Plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow.’ – The EdgeWithout going into the pros and cons of forming a minority government, especially with mass murdering Congress’s outside support. I say onto you, go for it Mr Kejriwal. Go forth and govern, and show it can be done, that sometimes promises can be kept that water should not cost more than country-made liquor and the gods know we die of both in this country.
Because I am still voting for BJP come May 2014 and I need good reasons to choose AAP over others.
Congratulations! Good Luck!!
