Fundraising for Machine Dalal XIII – Decisive Incremental Choices

I wanted to write about myself. Since the powers that be invest in the founder. I might come around to doing that in the next or the one after that. I will say this, and I might reuse the statement about myself. I am a man who can accomplish a lot through decisive incremental choices instead of grand strategy. Not really a storyteller from product point of view.

We will revisit this later.


Now, back to the product, and the progress.

Between our birth and death, is life, and that life can be anything. It is a fallacy that we make our luck or our life, at least I do not believe in any of that.

As the quote suggests you just steer the ship, the best way you can.

I can add a lot of metaphorical sentiments in here, but they are not required.

Good things so far.

1. Buyers are growing.

2. Sellers are growing.

3. Revenue is growing.

One of our patrons is an organization that goes back to the 19th century and theirs is the oldest trading houses of Europe. That is good for a start.

We have paying customers from Germany, Israel, Brazil, France, Italy, and India.

Mobile Apps are bilingual now. English and Spanish.

With Italian or German to follow. Do not know which.


Software Product, Sales, and Marketing

Machine Dalal is not a software. It is a business that runs on one. There is a difference. Machine Dalal is a tech powered trading platform, and we are connecting the fragments of an extraordinarily complicated value chain.

And we have our limitations, it terms of funds and the resources that we may commit. But that is how we live life and fight our battles; with the army that we have, not the one we hope we do (or did).

We have a Product team. A Marketing team. And. A Sales team.

And they are all working in tandem to achieve our goals.

Sometimes I do feel distressed and hope for better results but in my short moment of despair I do not lose sight of the greater achievements that we have made.


I believe in the product and the value it generates for the user. I would not have pursued it further if not for the worldwide adoption of it. We validate every product by simply making it live and then reforming. Although an organization should not ship experiments, but we advertently do.

I do not have much to add. We have good results to show and the consternation that I feel is probably because of lack of resources that weigh heavily on my mind, and also the weight that comes with the responsibility – for not just the business but the success of the idea itself.

And this writing, I feel act as my catharsis.
