Simply put, gross merchandise value (GMV) is the total value of merchandise sold over a given period of time. Machine Dalal has an astronomical GMV, as the machines are quite expensive, they average 60,000 US$ and we have thousands of them being traded each week. A back of the envelope calculation puts our GMV at over 150m$ already. Nothing to be scoffed at for a platform of this size.
Last week, we had paying customers from
1. Brazil
2. France
3. Italy
Those are additional encouraging signs.
By the time I write the next bit on Machine Dalal, we would have at least added Spanish support to one of the mobile platforms.
So would the first new pricing plans would be live as well.
Machine Dalal is intricately connected to all major social media platforms, and we have automated video production to ensure higher sales. We have the marketing and technology to help sellers sell fast and reach more people. This process gets done by itself; all our user needs to do is post equipment on Machine Dalal.
Honestly speaking I am not seriously doing the fundraising bit. I reached out to a few people but that was it. The focus has been on product and lately revenue streams.
The idea behind these series of blogs was to create a repository or maybe a guide to some fellow who might look up in some future.
If I start hitting revenue target even to a single percentage point, we shall keep it bootstrapped further.
Weekly growth rate is .5%, It is a hearty number for now. As the product is far from complete, and with more features, the completeness tends to get pushed further.
Machine Dalal YouTube channel should see a lot more action as well.
We have started implementing proprietary search and onwards we go.
Last few days were very discordant but not conflicting. A lot is going on and even though that is exciting, this is not how I would like to run this. I do come off as casual in these blogs but that is a support mechanism. At Machine Dalal we are building a world class business. It is not going to be easy, it is not going to be quick. Engineering takes time, it takes patience and enterprise talent.
